You are under no obligation to proceed after receiving a free mockup, and we are under no obligation to continue to a full project if we do not reach an agreement.
Paid Services
When you engage us for paid web design services, the specific scope of work, pricing, timeline, and deliverables will be outlined in a separate written agreement or proposal. That agreement governs the relationship for your project and takes precedence over these general terms where there is a conflict.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- A deposit (typically 50% of the project total) is required before work begins.
- The remaining balance is due upon project completion before the website is launched or files are transferred.
- Revision rounds included in your project will be specified in your proposal. Additional revisions beyond those included may be billed at an hourly rate.
- Hosting and ongoing maintenance services are billed monthly or annually as agreed. Either party may cancel with 30 days' written notice.
Intellectual Property and Ownership
Upon receipt of full payment, you will own the final website design, content, and code created specifically for your project. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.
We may use third-party tools, fonts, plugins, or libraries in building your site. These remain subject to their respective licences. Any stock images licensed for your project are licensed to you for use on that specific website.
Warranties and Limitations
We build websites to the best of our professional ability and take pride in the quality of our work. However, websites are complex software projects and we cannot guarantee that they will be free of all errors or compatible with every device, browser, or configuration. We will address any reported issues promptly and in good faith.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Williams Lake Web Design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
